In Spring 2004, new rear, centre and side curtains were installed on the stage. These were funded by grant from WREN (Waste Recycling Environmental Ltd.) under the Landfill Tax Credit scheme. Additional funding was supplied by the Community Association,Borough Council, and Parish Council.
Later in the year the existing children's play frame was removed and replaced by a new play structure. Click here to view. The safety surface tiles were replaced by a wet-pour surface. The cost of this project was also funded by WREN together with Downswood Parish Council, Awards for All, and the Community Association. Third Party Funding was by a Members Grant from Kent County Council.
